I was born and raised in a small town in Texas. Between the ages of 8-14, I started a string of small businesses. In 1999, I was 2 years into a business degree in marketing and economics when I learned about the existence of creative roles in advertising. I changed schools and majors - and it changed the course of my life. I find immense joy in the work that I do - even on the worst days.

I balance work with a healthy habit of curiosity. I want to know about everything. I keep a list. Every year, I pick a thing from my list and spend months learning it. Once I’m satisfied with what I know, I move on to something else on the list. Examples of past curiosities are: leatherworking, restoring vintage vespas and motorcycles, lost freight reselling and most recently, metal detecting. Yeah, it’s a weird list but it keeps me whole and hungry.

I currently live in Richmond, Va where I have been spoiled by our close proximity to mountains, rivers, oceans and the White House.

Thanks for stopping by.
